Rules of Play

Please help us keep Xplore and our visitors as safe as possible by ensuring your entire group follows our Rules of Play.
  • Xplore is a parentally supervised play area - your children are your own responsibility.

  • Whilst Xplore and its staff attempt to ensure the complete safety of our visitors it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to supervise and accompany children using the facilities.

  • Parents/guardians must remain in the secure area at all times and observe their child to ensure they are capable of using the equipment safely and to monitor their behaviour. Parents/guardians best know their child’s capabilities and should ensure an appropriate level of supervision and accompaniment to reflect this.

  • Children must be under 1.45m and under 12yrs old to use to the play area.

  • Children (and adults!) must wear socks whilst using the play frame. Long sleeve tops are also advised.

  • The tots area is strictly for children under 4yrs old.

  • Children under 4 should not use the main frame without parental supervision.

  • No food, drink, gum, glassware or cutlery/crockery is allowed in the play area.

  • Only food or drink purchased in Xplore may be consumed in the cafe area. Please allow plenty of time to consume any food you purchase from our cafe.

  • No shoes, ties, jewellery, spectacles (unless shatterproof) and any sharp objects, including badges and loose change is allowed in the play area.

  • The management cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to property or personal belongings.

  • Please report any accident, injury, spillage or anything you consider unsafe immediately to a member of our trained staff.

  • Children who are unwell should not use the facilities.

  • Bullying, fighting and behaviour considered inappropriate will not be tolerated and you may be asked to leave in this instance.

  • All notices, signs and staff instructions should be adhered to at all times.

  • The high-level TVs in the café area usually show news channels. If you notice any content that you think is unsuitable, please inform a member of staff who will change the channel.

  • Xplore encourages children to play and explore in a safe and stimulating environment. As such there are inherent risks always associated with children playing and having fun together. These include children being exposed to moderate physical activity, tripping, falling and bumping into fixed objects and other children. Xplore has taken every reasonable step to control these risks through design, maintenance and operation of this facility but due to the nature of children playing it is impossible to eliminate such risks completely. As such parents/guardians must recognise and accept this risk.

  • Above all... HAVE FUN AT XPLORE!
